Roots for Equity is starting a new initiative “The Globaliztaion Bulletin.” The Bulletin will be covering weekly news from Monday to Sunday, every week. The three news papers that will be covered include The Express Tribune, The NEWS, and The DAWN.
It aims to cover news items with regard to Globalization in the context of Pakistan, and where pertinent international happenings. The Weekly News Bulletin initially will be covering topics such as Agenda 2030, Agriculture, Climate Change, Corporations, Energy, International Aid, International Financial Institutions, Environment, Labor, Land, Militarization, Privatization, Poverty, Trade Liberalization, Water and Women.
Later, new topics may be introduced. For instance, currently, Trade Liberalization includes TPP, WTO, Public Private Partnership (PPP) and other topics relevant to trade liberalization. Depending on the volume that we come across, it is possible that some of these heads will be separated at a later date.
We are eager to hear from our readers about the usefulness of this service. Please note that Roots for Equity publishes a similar Urdu publication namely Hal Ahwal whose focus is on Agricultural Economy. It covers agricultural news quarterly from the same newspapers. Please note that previous and current copies of quarterly Hal Ahwal are uploaded regularly.
